Roger's 40th birthday

I'm actually embarrassed to post this lame 40th birthday celebration.  This was on Tuesday night after open house events at school, and everyone was exhausted. We didn't even get a head on shot of Roger!  We went out the following weekend, though, and went to dinner and walked on the beach.

A visit from Grandpa, Grandma, Crystal, and Rylee

Because Scout Camp and Girls' Camp ended up overlapping, Crystal agreed to come down and take care of Brandon and Kaylee for the week.  Grandpa and Grandma came to help, too.

We had to do everything a little early for Brandon since everyone was going to be gone at camps for his actual birthday.  First we went out for a little pre-birthday fun.

 We had a party on the Friday before his birthday.  Brandon requested this cake.  (The motto at Southport is R.O.C.K. the Promise.  ROCK stands for Respect Others, Cultivate Kindness).

Cody was the only friend available to come, but they swam and had fun!

Dustin worked long hours to make a pinata out of paper mache.  He used a star balloon from the band banquet as his base.

The pinata was fun and the candy was yummy!

Dustin's 14th birthday party

To celebrate his birthday, Dustin had a few friends over to swim and play.  Ben, Clayton, and Brannon were able to make it.  Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of their other activities!

Derek's 16th birthday

Our schedules didn't allow us to celebrate on Derek's actual birthday, but he still had a little party at home.  His biggest birthday present was us paying the insurance so he could go get his Driver's License!  We also helped him open an ING teen money account.

Kaylee's 11th birthday

Kaylee's friends were not told to wear green, but apparently it is the "in" color, so there was a lot of it.  Kaylee is certainly a green freak lately.  Her room is even painted bright green!  

Not the prettiest cake I've ever done, but it tasted good!  (We were using some leftover real whipped cream).

Roger's last birthday in the 30's! The kids went with the homemade route on gifts this year, so Roger had lots of clues to decipher and pictures to look at. He was a good sport as always.
