Why?

This evening the question more specifically was, "Why is there a turtle in my sink?" Really.

RIP Hammy

Kaylee's remaining hamster is no longer with us. Looking at the bright side, at least her room should smell better now.

Scout Camp Week

The older boys headed off to Scout Camp this week.
While they were gone, I kept a couple of kids so that their mom could go to Girl's Camp. Kaylee and Brandon had fun spending the week with Savannah and Cody. One night they had a prank contest. The girls won when they "decorated" the room of the sleeping boys and dressed them up a little.

Every day for lunch, Kaylee & Savannah would pack a lunch and go eat by the pond. It was SO hot out there, but they didn't seem to mind.
The boys swam, played video games, and went fishing.

Father's Day 2010

You never know what you're going to get for Father's Day when the kids are left to their own devices. Derek made a flower out of bendaroos.
Kaylee wrote a message that left Roger thinking he should be a little more loving!
Dustin grabbed an extra eye-protector after his dilation at the eye doctor.
At least he got the jig saw he's been wanting!
Roger is a great sport and a great dad. We love him!

Crashing the Hawthorne's beach vacation

One of the consolations in moving away from our best friends in Lakeland was that they just happen to stay in Panama City for a week every year at a condo that Jodi's parents own. We are so glad they were willing to let us crash their vacation! We had a great time visiting, relaxing, and catching up.

Brandon's 7th birthday

Brandon was lucky enough to have 2 parties this year. On his actual birthday (Saturday), we were spending the day with the Hawthorne's at the beach, so Aunt Jodi got some cupcakes and we let him open a few presents (mostly ones that he could use at his friend party on Monday).
On Monday, Brandon had party #2 and invited his friends Cody, Blake, & Zach to swim for a while. Brandon wanted his cake to show him and his friends in the pool. He drew a picture to show me how it should look and I did my best to make an accurate representation!
The extended crowd - siblings, friends, and siblings of friends!
A gift from Kaylee & Taylor with lots of inspirational messages...

Water Day

During the last few days of school, it was mostly one big party. This was water day at Bozeman. Each age group had their own water slide.
Dustin - 6th grade
Brandon - 1st grade (Mrs. Brannon)
Kaylee - 3rd grade (Mrs. Strickland)
