Derek's 16th birthday

Our schedules didn't allow us to celebrate on Derek's actual birthday, but he still had a little party at home.  His biggest birthday present was us paying the insurance so he could go get his Driver's License!  We also helped him open an ING teen money account.

Random pictures in April

Dustin borrowed a couple seasons worth of Clone Wars videos from a friend and used his time in the car to watch them.

Easter Sunday.  Surprisingly, this is the only Easter related picture I can find!  We did do an egg hunt and colored eggs and all that jazz, but apparently we didn't take any pictures!

Kaylee had each person make a "Sunday Can" for Family Home Evening.  It is filled with ideas of things you CAN do on Sunday.

An afternoon at Rattlesnake Lake

Some of Roger's friends from work do an annual camping trip to Rattlesnake Lake, and this year they invited our family to join them.  Our schedule didn't allow us to camp, so we just went out and spent the afternoon.  We all had a good time.

Kaylee's Orthodontist consultation

The dentist recommended that we go ahead and visit an orthodontist to have a consultation about Kaylee's overbite and her bottom teeth.  It turns out that it will be another year or two before she is ready for any correction because she has more teeth to lose and a little growing to do. It was a great office, though, and I had a good time laughing at Kaylee while they took pictures.

I know.  I shouldn't post such things.  But really - it's quite funny.

Boy Scout Spring Camporee

Once again, Troop 310 ran away with a lot of awards at the Camporee.

Derek's crabbing adventure

Some friends in the ward offered to take Derek and his friend Kyle snorkeling and crabbing.  They had a good time - and the crab was yummy!

Visit to Topeka to see Jody

Roger and I flew out to Kansas for a few days to visit with Roger's mom, Jody, and to bring home a truck and dining room table.  This was our last visit with Jody and we were so glad to have some nice time together.  We took her out to the Tulip Festival one day, which she enjoyed very much.

Jody's expression pretty much says it all.  She really wasn't too happy with the way her body was failing on her.  This was right before we left, and is the last picture we have of Roger and his mom.
