Orlando Trip - Disney World

The time finally arrived for us to use our free Disney tickets. We left for Orlando on Veteran's Day, which fell on a Thursday. The boys and Roger were able to do baptisms at the temple that afternoon with the Martinez family.
Meanwhile, I took Kaylee & Brandon (and Noah) to Downtown Disney to look around.
We had a fun time checking out the Lego store.
Brandon playing with potato heads
Stitch would spit on the kids periodically. Brandon got really frustrated that he couldn't seem to get wet.
"Big Kids" were displaying their own Lego creations.
We stayed at Fantasy World Resort, which turned out to be just perfect. The price was right at $75 a night, and it was fully furnished with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a hideabed, washer/dryer and a full kitchen. We were very comfortable there.
On Friday, we met up with the Hawthornes and went to the temple. That afternoon, they came over and hung out at our 'villa'. It was a little cool for swimming, but the pool was supposedly heated, so the kids jumped in.
Later that night, we kept Emily and Dan's kids while they went to the temple.
The kids had fun playing tennis and shuffleboard.
Saturday was our Magic Kingdom day.
We had a monorail car to ourselves, and Dustin was using the momentum to swing himself forward. The badges under his arms were given to us because we volunteered for "Give a Day. Get a Day."
Taylor & Kaylee waiting for the park to open
Roger expressing his true feelings about Disney World
Despite his distaste for "The happiest place on earth," Roger did put on a cheerful face and we all had a good day.
Pre-show before the gates opened
Taylor, Brandon, Kaitlyn, and Kaylee with Chip and Dale
Brandon's reaction to his first roller coaster. Probably shouldn't have started with Space Mountain. We could hear him crying as his car came into the station. He wasn't sure he wanted to try another coaster, but Thunder Mountain turned out to be his favorite. We rode it 4 times.
The teacups were another favorite.
Kaitlyn & Taylor with Tigger and Pooh
Brandon & Kaylee in front of Cinderella's castle
The family rather wet after Splash Mountain. Derek got the worst of it!
Kaylee & Taylor riding on Dumbo the Elephant
Dustin & Kaitlyn
The castle kept changing colors at night.
The whole gang
Electric Parade
On Sunday, we went "home" to Gibsonia Ward. It was wonderful to see old friends.
