Drive to Utah with Emily and kids

I had the pleasure of taking an "all-expense paid vacation" to Utah at the end of July. I accompanied Emily and her children (very cute traveling companions) on a 4 day trip to their new home in Springville. Dan went ahead with his dad and the moving truck while we made more frequent stops and arrived a day and a half behind them. After a few days of unpacking and a nice visit to the temple, they flew me back to Florida. It was a really good time.

Oklahoma Trip - Glenn & Jody's 50th Anniversary Reunion

In June, we got to travel to the NE corner of Oklahoma to attend a Shields Family Reunion. We were celebrating Glenn & Jody's 50th wedding anniversary, and almost everyone was able to make it (Erica's husband James was the only one missing). We stayed at a nice little place called Lee's Resort. The kids got along great and it was a wonderful time.

Wednesday night, we rented the meeting room and celebrated with a nice dinner and family video. Vicki made a beautiful cake.

Our combined gift to Glenn & Jody was a special book with pictures and memories written by their posterity.
