Derek's Gets His Driving Permit!

The day he's been waiting for! Derek had an eye appointment, too, so we justified an absence from school to take care of both. We had a nice day together.

Derek's 15th birthday

Kind of a lame-o birthday party this year, including the sorry looking cake. His real gifts were dinner out a few nights before, a new basketball goal and getting to go get his permit the next day.

After painstakingly growing out her hair, Kaylee was finally ready to get it cut and donate it to Locks of Love. She ended up with a super short style. When it's wet, it makes her resemble Rapunzel at the end of the Disney movie "Tangled."
