Chalk Day at Southport

All of the students were given a small area of sidewalk to decorate for "chalk day." The school mascot is the eagle, and many of the children chose patriotic themes. We didn't get pictures until several days after, and there is damage from rain and dew.

Wings Across the Bridge

Every year, the older elementary students at Southport raise funds to help support a local animal sanctuary. As part of the festivities, the chorus sang and the kids all walked across the old side of the bridge. It was cool to see a real eagle up close.

A local news reporter was taking footage of the event.
