Our New House

We are slowly adjusting to our new place, and it's gradually starting to feel like home. This is the view from our front yard. This is the very long driveway!
I just realized that I don't have a single picture of the front of the house, but it's probably for the best! I must have subconsciously been avoiding it! This is the living room area before our furniture arrived.
Because it is a manufactured home, the ceilings are quite high in the center of the house. Works out great for the bunkbeds! These were taken after everything arrived and we were mostly unpacked.

Gas Station Pals

On our many drives to and from Panama City, Kaylee scouted out each gas station for lovable pals. Fortunately, she doesn't get too attached!

All packed up

The kids got bored easily during the packing and loading process. They spent plenty of time finding ways to entertain themselves. I'm sure the movers were glad to be done with us!

Our Bestest Buds

We were lucky to spend some of our last few weeks in Lakeland surrounded by our best friends! Jodi and her girls stayed with us for several weeks while both of our husbands were already working at their new jobs and her home was already occupied by it's new residents. It was wonderful!

Saying Goodbye to Friends

Gibsonia ward had a "Hello Goodbye" social before we left - to welcome new families and say goodbye to those who were moving away. It was a great chance to see everyone before we left Lakeland. Here are a few of the many friends we will miss very much!

Another visit from the Milton cousins

It is ironic that even though we are moving closer to Emily & Dan, we likely won't see them as often. We have loved having them come to visit every month when they attend the temple. On their last visit to Lakeland, we took a side trip to the park.Derek comforting Jeffrey after a run-in on the big hill.

Brandon turns 6!

Brandon's birthday was unfortunately overshadowed by our impending move, but he was a good sport about it and still enjoyed his small birthday celebration. We were fortunate to have Emily & Dan in town for the occasion (yes, I made the cake, but I cheated and printed the picture from the internet).Brandon with his gifts
"Don't eat Shawna" has been a favorite party game in our family through the years. This time we turned it into "Don't eat Mater" since Cars seemed to be the impromtu theme.
